Wayne Dumas Obituary

Wayne Randal Dumas passed away with his wife and son by his side on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Flin Flon General Hospital, at the age of 65 years.

Wayne was born on Wednesday, January 27, 1960, in Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan. He lived a life filled with the passion for the outdoors, purpose, and unwavering determination. He embraced every challenge with grace and faced adversity with unwavering strength. Throughout his journey, he touched the lives of countless people with his kindness, wisdom and infectious laughter. Wayne lived for the bush, he learned all his skills from his father and mother which he passed down through his children. Wayne will be missed by many in the community, and around the world as he met many people through his time guiding.

Wayne was a storyteller of his many adventures on the land. Wayne leaves with us these stories and memories that we can reflect on when he pops into our mind.

Wayne leaves behind his loving wife Karen; children, Ashley, Roseanna (Wilfrid Genaille), Bryton (DeAnna Ballantyne); grandchildren, Leila, Earl, Eric, Basile; his immediate family, Victoria Francois, Anna, Marie (Bill), Joyce (Leon), Glenn (Serena), Julianne (Edward), Dianne, Flora (Ray), Elly (Art), Gloria (William); in-laws, Florence, Donna (Eric), Ila (Andy), Thelma (Ervin), Earl, Donnell, Neil, and all their children and grandchildren; including his special friends, Chief Gordie Bear, Philip Castel, Walter Sinclair, and Ludwig Francois.

Wayne is predeceased by his mother, Caroline; father, Luke; sisters, Sandi, Marie Rose; brother, Raphael, Abraham; father in law, Don Nice; mother in law, Madeline Nice (nee Bighetty); and his son, Kristoffer Donald, and many nieces, nephews, and friends, too numerous to mention.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and deep gratitude for all expressions of love, kindness, and sympathy shown through our journey, and to Hemauer Funeral Home for their direction and kindness through this troubling time.
